Gregory P. GoonanMr. Goonan has over twenty years experience handling a wide variety of litigation and business matters. Mr. Goonan has handled well over one hundred jury trials, court trials, arbitrations, mediations and administrative proceedings before state and federal courts and tribunals throughout California and the United States. The subject areas of Mr. Goonan’s litigation experience are broad and sophisticated, and include breach of contract and business tort (fraud, unfair business practices, etc.) litigation, banking litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, business purchase and sale disputes, real estate disputes, civil RICO, and consumer matters. Mr. Goonan also has substantial appellate experience before both state and federal appellate courts. Mr. Goonan likewise has broad-based experience handling business transactional matters and the preparation of business agreements in a wide variety of subject areas. Mr. Goonan is experienced in all aspects of intellectual property law, including the research and preparation of applications, amendments and appeals involving copyrights and trademarks as well as the protection of trade secrets and issues involving advertising law. Mr. Goonan regularly counsels clients in the protection of intellectual property rights, domain name issues, and the avoidance of infringement claims. He also regularly advises clients with respect to business transactions involving intellectual property (e.g., OEM agreements, distributor agreements, licenses, assignments, leases, purchase agreements, etc.). Mr. Goonan has an active practice litigating intellectual property cases in state and federal courts in California and throughout the United States as well as before specialized tribunals such as the International Trade Commission, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and arbitration groups authorized by WIPO to resolve domain name disputes.
